Luv-a-Duck's Confit Duck Legs have been slowly cooked in their own juices until the meat is tender and succulent. Confit is a centuries-old French method of cooking and preserving duck. We have done all the hard work for you. Simply heat, brown and serve. It's so easy.

TO PREPARE

1. If frozen, defrost in the refrigerator.
2. Remove Confit Duck Legs from bag.

TO HEAT

Oven
Preheat oven to 200C degrees.  Discard any excess cooking juices from pack.  Place legs skin side up on an ovenproof tray.  Heat for approx 15 mins.

Grill
Place Confit Duck Legs in an oven dish skin side down under a hot grill for about 5 minutes, turn over and allow to thoroughly heat through and the skin to crisp and brown.

BBQ
Wrap in foil with all the juices and heat through on the BBQ plate for 10-15 minutes, carefully remove from foil and allow to brown on each side.

RECIPE IDEAS

Confit Duck Legs on Crispy potatoes.

  • Steam some washed kipfler or chat potatoes until almost cooked.
  • When cool slice and fry in a hot fry pan with a little duck fat. Add sliced zucchini and cook until golden brown.
  • Serve the legs on top of the potatoes and serve with a green salad and crusty bread.

 

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Cook some lentils preferably the French style puy lentils in duck stock and thyme and serve the Confit Duck Legs on top.
