This was a fun class, with lots of knowledge and skills learned along the way. We sampled many dishes and they were all delicious. It’s so much easier to cook duck than I thought!

— Joanne

Do it…. Seriously, take the class. Wendy was a great teacher, I was left without a partner and that didn’t matter in the slightest. The food tasted incredible and the recipes are so simple… do yourself a big favour and take the class!

— Matthew

Absolutely loved this class! The staff were so lovely and helpful and made it very easy to get comfortable in the class. Really enjoyed the fast pace of the class as well.

Spent last evening at French duck cooking class (as in French cooking, they weren’t French ducks!). The evening was well organized with good communication before hand of what to wear, where to come, time etc. There were 10 of us there split into groups of 2 and cooking 2 courses each. Hats off to our chef and guide Wendy who did a fantastic job ensuring we all managed to produce some really tasty French food. There are apparently 6 other courses available and quite confident we will be back for another one.

My husband and I participated in the french inspired duck on Saturday and we loved it. We were in a class of 10 with each pair making 2 different dishes. We went through basics like roasting and cutting a duck to making confit duck. Then it came to sitting down for lunch and eating our 10 dishes with wine. OMG we ate well. Wendy was very patient and knowledeable and Gail did all our dishes. It was an amazing afternoon. We will be back!

Thank-you

— Chris

This was a most enjoyable class with Wendy starting from the very basic on how to dissect a roasted duck successfully, to moving on to a varied number of recipes from entree to main courses. Group participation was a good way of being taught how to prepare a recipe. Her assistant was instrumental in making sure that the kitchen remained at all times tidy ad there was everything provided for us to ensure that it was a very enjoyable and successful time spent. A good investment.

A very enjoyable and informative class with Wendy

— Tina

Highly recommended . Lots of enjoyment . The recipe was easy to follow. Wendy was a superstar explaining the process in simple steps and gave us time to catch up if we were running a tad slow . She was also explaining some simple tricks to assistance for preparing in advance if you are time poor when preparing a dinner party etc . Thank you for a fun night .

— Kim

Incredible class, very well run with a range of dishes which were all amazing to taste. Particularly the confit duck. Would recommend to anyone considering learning how to cook with duck

— Michelle

Loved the format and kitchen layout but found the bench space /stove restricted with everyone cooking. Room was incredibly hot and uncomfortable. Breakdown of a duck informative. Confy, casserole and parfait excellent and really simple compared to many recipes we have seen. Use of duck sausage rather then pork was interesting as duck and fennel sausage had excellent flavour. Will add to our shopping list. Various duck breast dishes ok but way too much food. Had a good night and enjoyed the experience.

— Patricia

This was possibly one of the best evenings we have had. 3.5 hours of learning everything about how to cook duck the French way and everything else! It seems very daunting but Wendy just made it a breeze. Such a well organised class and we had heaps of fun! So so much food so make sure you have an appetite when you go over. I can’t wait to try the Asian style duck class next. And such absolute value for money!

— Reetu

Enjoyable small group class where you learn delicious duck recipes that don’t seem daunting to cook at home! Wendy the teacher was excellent.

— Nat

Wendy gave us an excellent introduction to jointing and carving duck before we split into twos to work on 2 recipes per pair. The morning split into two – a late morning break to try the parfait and soup entrees, and lunch after we’d finished cooking all the other recipes. None of them were overly complicated and it was great to try everything at lunch. There was an opportunity, of course, to buy duck produce at the end of the class. Recommendation – if you go, don’t have a heavy breakfast. You need room for all that duck!

— Annie

Such a great class. Thanks to Wendy as chef for all her tips and to the amazing Rhonda for literally running around everyone all night keeping dishes clean and everything in order!!!
